The Reno Rodeo, also known as the “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West,” is an annual rodeo event that takes place in Reno, Nevada. The event features traditional rodeo events such as bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, team roping, and more. The Reno Rodeo is one of the largest and most prestigious rodeos in the country, and it is a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctioned event. The rodeo typically takes place in June and runs for 10 days.
The Reno Rodeo also features a variety of other activities, such as a parade, a western trade show, a carnival, and a rodeo queen pageant, in addition to the rodeo competitions. The event is held at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center and it is a major event in the city of Reno. Proceeds from the Reno Rodeo are used to support local charities, youth programs, and scholarships.
